Bristol Hospital tackles addictions & mental health issues

Bristol Hospital is offering a free community awareness program to help those with addictions and mental health issues.

This presentation is sponsored by the Community Awareness Program (CAP) of the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and Bristol Hospital.

CAP provides a six-hour professional training for individuals, community groups, families, coaches, faith based groups and anyone who would like more education on how to recognize, provide support and give assistance to those struggling with addictions such as alcohol, drugs, gambling, inhalant abuse, as well as many mental health issues facing us today including suicide.

The program will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 18 5 – 8 pm in the Bristol Hospital Hughes Auditorium,  41 Brewster Road, Bristol.
