On Friday night Bristol Police responded to 240 Woodland St. on a report of a shooting with a victim on the ground.
The victim, 63 year old Daniel J. Caron (LKA) of Bristol sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest while in the driveway of that address. He was transported by ambulance to Bristol Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police recovered items of evidence from the scene, including a handgun.
Police arrested Chad Couture, age 35, of Bristol, CT. Couture was charged with Manslaughter in the First Degree with a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
This incident remains under investigation.
