The United Way of West Central Connecticut is asking for help this holiday season to show the community what it takes to Live United.

“We are hoping that the community will help us make positive changes in the lives of local children and families by donating gifts for children in need. These contributions will help provide numerous local families with gifts for children to open at Christmas.”

United Way’s Annual Joy of Sharing Program has been providing toys and gifts to needy children, teens, and families in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth/Terryville for over sixteen years. Last year alone, over 2,200 toys and gifts were donated, along with hundreds of food items. This year, the need is greater than ever.

If you are interested in contributing to the United Way’s Joy of Sharing Program, toys and gifts for children between the ages of 3 and 14 can be dropped off at the United Way office (200 Main Street, Bristol, CT) on either December 5th or 6th (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day).

If you, or your company, are willing to participate in the United Way’s Joy of Sharing Program, please call Kimberly Carmelich at United Way (860) 582-9559 X407 or e-mail kcarmelich@uwwestcentralct.org to sign up. By supporting United Way of West Central Connecticut, you are supporting YOUR community.
