Of the hundreds of stories we posted this year, these were the ten most-read, shared, and discussed pieces in 2016.

In a year largely overshadowed by a highly contentious and many would say unusual presidential election, it can be difficult to recall quickly everything that has happened over the past year.

Nevertheless, 2016 has brought with it plenty of news — both good and bad — and as the year came to a close we are taking a look back at some of the Roundup’s biggest stories.

FLINT, Mich. — Police said a 26-year-old Michigan woman left her two infant daughters inside a suitcase on the side of the road as child welfare workers arrived to take the children away.
