Fire Fly is hard at work getting ready to put two new beers on draft starting Thursday 2/23 at 2pm.
Fire Fly will debut H+ Tart and Hoppy, 4.5%, the newest in thier H+ sour beer series.
“This kettle soured wheat beer has been dry hopped with Equinox, Amarillo, and El Dorado.”
Look for flavors of ginger, lemon, grapefruit, kiwi, and melon with very little bitterness and a moderate lactic tang.
Fire Fly will also debut Captain Quark, 8.5%, the newest in their Quark IPA series. Heavily dry hopped with Amarillo, El Dorado, Citra, CT grown Cascade, and Nelson Sauvin, this beer shows massive complexity, full chewy body, and reserved bitterness. Look for lots of citrus – lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange; honeydew, and white grapes.
Fire Fly will have a can release of Captain Quark starting Friday at 2pm, limit one case per person, $12/four pack.
Also on Friday, Fire Fly will have a cask of Red Lantern dry hopped with East Kent Goldings.
Food trucks this week include Sonny’s Grinders food tuck and Ted’s Steamed Cheeseburgers on Saturday.

HARTFORD — A bill proposed by Connecticut Police Chiefs aims to prevent officer suicides. Under current law, officers who seek mental health treatment for stress or depression lose their gun permits, and as a result, their ability to work. Because of that stigma, they won’t seek help, which can put them at risk for suicide, hence this proposal that an exemption for police officers be added to the law.
