The City of Bristol is scheduled to reconstruct Curtiss Avenue, Zipp Avenue and Twining Street.
Work is tentatively scheduled to start on Monday April 17, 2017 and will take approximately four weeks to complete.
This work is the beginning of the final phase of the City of Bristol’s Capital Improvement Project for streets that upgraded the drainage, replaced the sanitary sewers and reconstructed the roadway surface.
In addition, to work on the referenced streets the City will be reconstructing the roadway surface on Frederick Street.
The work will consist of reclaiming — pulverizing — the existing roadway pavement and installing a new bituminous roadway surface and curbing.
The work is being performed due to the deteriorated condition of the roadway surface. The existing grade and alignment of the road will not be substantially altered.
Residents can contact Raymond Rogozinski, P.E. in the City Engineering Department at 860-584-6113 with any concerns or questions.
