Tournament Held at Bristol Eastern Continues to Raise Awareness of Domestic Violence

NNMA Domestic Violence Awareness Basketball Tournament 2017

On June 3, 2017 The NNMA Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Basketball tournament was held at Bristol Eastern High School.

This is the 4th year that the tournament was held at the high school. On April 3, 2013 Shenia Walker was killed by her abuser in front of her four sons.

Since then the children and family of Shenia has made it their mission to raise awareness to DV by hosting the basketball tournament, by giving back to the community, by donating to the Prudence Crandall Center in New Britain, and to hopefully one day help put a stop to Domestic Violence.
