The St. Stanislaus Church annual Polish Festival will be held on Church grounds, 510 West St, Bristol on Saturday, September 9th from 4 – 10 pm and Sunday, September 10th from 11:30 am – 7 pm.
The two-day event will feature special Masses on Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 10:30am with the Polonia Paderewski Choir singing at the 10:30am Mass, live Polka music, great Polish and American food, raffles, crafts, Kid Zone with a variety of inflatable amusements and much more.
A giant Tag Sale will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am.
The Polish Children’s Folk group “ORLETA” will perform on Saturday at 6pm. At 8:30pm.
The “Divine Sound” Group will sing a variety of Folk and Religious songs. The children’s folk group, PIAST, will perform on Sunday at 2pm.
There will be ample parking on West and North Street. A free shuttle service will also be available from the Centre Square/Depot Square Parking lot: Sat. 4-9pm and Sunday 12-6pm.

HARTFORD — A bill proposed by Connecticut Police Chiefs aims to prevent officer suicides. Under current law, officers who seek mental health treatment for stress or depression lose their gun permits, and as a result, their ability to work. Because of that stigma, they won’t seek help, which can put them at risk for suicide, hence this proposal that an exemption for police officers be added to the law.
