Gluten-Free Connecticut announced their first gluten-free food expo will happen on Saturday, October 14th, 2017, 11am-4pm at the Doubletree Hotel in Bristol, CT. The event is open to the public.
Gluten-Free Connecticut, LLC operates www.glutenfreeconnecticut.com, the state’s leading resource for healthy gluten-free living and dining.
Attendees should come hungry to take advantage of free samples and food for purchase from 50 local and national gluten-free vendors including restaurants, bakeries, and Connecticut’s only dedicated gluten-free food truck.
There will also be speakers, cooking demonstrations, and raffles.
The $10 admission fee includes a reusable shopping bag and entrance to all talks and demos. Children under age 12 are free.
www.glutenfreeconnecticut.com is the state’s most comprehensive and up-to-date gluten-free resource offering an extensive dining directory, restaurant reviews, recipes, and blogs.
Owner and Connecticut resident Abby Helman Kelly states, “The number of local businesses offering gluten-free options just keeps growing, and we work hard to connect them with our audience, which is growing even faster.”
She continues, “We’re based right here in Connecticut, we love what we do, and we’re committed to providing information, outreach, and interesting dining options for our community. We’re proving that gluten free can be really good! ”
Connecticut mom Abby Helman Kelly created Gluten-Free Connecticut, LLC and launched www.glutenfreeconnecticut.com in 2016. She holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Loyola UniversityMaryland and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston University.
In addition to the website, Kelly also organizes gluten-free events throughout the state and does community outreach.
