Bristol Police issued a press release saying on Sunday, October 15, 2017 they received a complaint of fliers, which contained writing with racial overtones, being posted on a light post in the neighborhood of Lantern Hill Road.

A resident found the flyers and reported it to the BPD.

One flyer had the image of Abraham Lincoln with the title “We founded this nation”. The other flyer was titled “Take your country back” and referenced “white

The BPD is aware the Southington Police Department is also investigating the same flyers being posted in their town and has been in contact with the Southington Police Department.

At this time the identity of the individual(s) who posted the flyers is not known.
