A Bristol staple is gone.
For decades people had been served by this Bristol staple. But no more.
The current owner plans to make a move to Plainville.
Jake Castico owner of Frankies in Bristol said “We will be closing on Sunday, October 15, 2017 as we relocate to our new building on 177 East St. Route 10 in Plainville. We would like to thank all of our customers who have supported us throughout the years.”
Earlier this year, Keen Engineering out of Boca Raton, Florida submitted an ambitious plan to demolish Frankies Restaurant and replace the prime Rt. 6 location with a new 7,612 sq. ft. retail/medical building housing GoHealth Urgent Care and Hartford Healthcare.
The proposal would also realign the parking lot entrance to match Shop Rite Plaza across the street.
The new restaurant is planned to open in early 2018.”
