Candidates Prepare for Election Day

Democratic candidates and supporters wave at drivers on Rt. 6 and North Main Street

Party leaders and candidates have embarked on their last days of campaigning before the polls open on Tuesday.

Both parties are busy making final preparations to get voters out to the polls.

Dean Kilbourne DTC Chairman said his candidates had a busy weekend with all candidates out knocking on doors and doing phone calls.

“I think we’ve got some great new comers and of course Ellen. I think they all have a plan for moving Bristol forward.” said Kilbourne.

DTC members and candidates also did the traditional wave at high traffic locations.

Danta A. Tagariello RTC member and campaign manager for Andrew Howe also said GOP candidates are going door to door and making calls as well.

“I think every single one of our candidates have increased their exposure dramatically since 2015.” said Tagariello.

Ellen Zoppo-Sassu said she finished up the last few streets for door knocking, set up phone calls and attended the ACE Awards over the weekend.

“We have all been receiving very positive feedback and are feeling very good about Tuesday.”

Polling places in Bristol are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
