Tunxis offers free student aid help sessions

Tunxis@Bristol located at 430 North Main Street.

Tunxis Community College will host sessions this fall for those who need help filing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Prospective and current students are welcome to attend with their parents.

All sessions will be held in the 300 Building Computer Lab except the evening session on Nov. 15, which will be in 200 Building, Room 203 at the Farmington campus.

No reservation is required for these sessions.

• Personalized sessions are available by appointment on the following Fridays from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. You can email or call 860.773.1422 to reserve a spot: Nov. 17, Dec. 1, Dec. 15 and Jan. 5.

• General sessions are available on the following dates: Nov. 15, 9 a.m. & 6 p.m.

Staff from the Financial Aid Services Office at Tunxis will be available to help those with questions about filing their FAFSA information and renewals.

Tunxis Community College is now accepting applications for spring semester, which starts Jan. 17.

Tunxis is located at the junction of Routes 6 and 177 in Farmington.

PLANTSVILLE —  There’s controversy surrounding a popular local venue who hosted an NRA fundraiser Friday night. CHICAGO — Chicago actress DuShon Monique Brown, known for her role on “Chicago Fire,” has died at the age of 49, according to multiple reports.
