Thanksgiving Week: Special Hours and Special Beers at Firefly

Photo (c) Firefly Hollow

On Wednesday grab your drinking buddies and out-of-town guests and come down, Firefly is open from 1pm-10pm and will be putting on three special beers for you to enjoy in their taproom.

The Connecticut Brewers Guild Board of Directors convened at Outer Light Brewing last month, but not to talk politics. Instead, representatives from Outer Light, Firefly Hollow, Thomas Hooker, and Stubborn Beauty gathered to brew a special collaboration beer for CT Craft Beer Month.

CTBG Collaboration #1 is a 4.8% ABV wassail-inspired Belgian-style ale.
Wassail is mulled cider, often containing cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and other spices. CTBG Collaboration #1 uses the famed De Dolle yeast strain, a Belgian yeast known for imparting apple- and pear-like flavors. Firefly brewed this delectable beer with buckets of whole oranges, and we added ground orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger post-fermentation.
True to its inspiration, CTBG Collaboration #1 is a festive ale for this holiday season.

Also on Wedsenday, Ted’s Steamed Cheeseburgers food truck joins Firefly with their juicy, mouthwatering steamed burgers.

On Thanksgiving Firefly will be closed.

On Friday 11/24: Firefly will debut their 2017 Twinkler Barleywine on draft! This is a pre-bottle release, be some of the first to try this big beer before bottles are available to the public on 12/1.     Sonny’s Grinders food truck returns with their fresh made to order grinders, spring rolls and more.

On Saturday 11/25: The fun continues with The Firehouse Smoker food truck bringing you smoky meaty goodness.   Come early to get your hands on some ribs, they sell out fast!

Pack up the leftovers and come down for a relaxing afternoon with a pint in hand. Firefly is open for our standard taproom hours.

Additional tickets available for purchase. For details about the party click here.
