True love might be priceless, but a wedding in Connecticut will leave your wallet hurting.

Connecticut weddings are ninth most expensive in the U.S., averaging $41,745, according to a new survey of 13,000 brides and grooms by The Knot.

The national average is $29,858, and larger cities can cost nearly triple that, the report says.

The most expensive place in America to get hitched is Manhattan ($86,916) followed by Long Island ($57,343).

MILFORD – The State of Connecticut is giving a heads up to parents because some state beaches will be so short on lifeguards this summer and there could be days where there would not be one at all.  Silver Sands State Park is one of the three beaches that will be seeing a shortage.
