Alan Beitman Superintendent of Schools for Region 10 Public Schools announced that Joseph Masi has been named as the new Principle for Har-Bur Middle School.
The school servers both Burlington and Harwinton students
“It gives me great pleasure to announce that Mr. Joseph Masi, assistant principal from Regional School District #7 has been selected as the new principal for Har-Bur Middle School.
Masi brings a wealth of experience and leadership skills to Region 10 and we are very fortunate to be able to have him join Har-Bur Middle School and Region 10. Masi was introduced to the faculty of Har-Bur this afternoon and will be appointed on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Board of Education’s regular November meeting.” said Beitman.
“I want to thank the 17 members of the search committee for their diligence and hard work and for all those who were able to participate on the site visit.”
Masi’s first official day with us will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
A reception to welcome Masi will be held in early January.

BLOOMFIELD — Bloomfield police are looking for Mabel Perry-Pounds, a missing 89-year-old. She’s described as a black female with gray hair and brown eyes. She is about 5’7″ and weighs around 140 pounds. No picture was provided. She was last seen Sunday wearing a grey house coat, and carrying a purse and walking cane.
